Festival of Lights

Frederick opens the holiday season by counting down to the tree lighting in Crist Park, with a parade, free horse-drawn carriage rides, a live ice-sculpture demonstration that ends in an ice sculpture to play with, selfies with Santa and carolers. The Frederick Market of growers, artisans and non-profits sets up in the park from 5:30 to 8 pm. The Festival of Lights is Frederick’s part of the Carbon Valley Holiday Festival, with Firestone’s at Miners Park and Dacono’s at City Hall the same day.
