Crist Park

The park at the entrance to downtown Frederick, with a playground, a summer splash pad, a gazebo, bocce courts, a sports field and the Miners Memorial Museum; the Festival of Lights and Music in the Park are held here.

Named for James M. Crist, mayor from 1961 to 1964, Crist Park holds the Miners Memorial Museum, the Memorial Wall and two public artworks, with a playground, picnic area, gazebo, bocce courts and a sports field. The splash pad runs early June to late August, weather depending (step on the yellow dome to start it). The gazebo and two small shelters rent as one, with reservations closed from 30 September to 1 February. The Town publishes no park hours.
